In East Kent, United Kingdom, Worldwide Fruit Limited (WFL) supplier Chandler & Dunn is demonstrating how regenerative farming can revitalise orchard systems—strengthening soil health, enhancing biodiversity, improving tree performance, and building resilience in the face of increasingly variable weather, rising input costs, and stricter regulations on agrichemical use. Their work is supported by clear natural-capital mapping through the Land App and the development of the C&D Model Farm, which provides a structured foundation for testing and refining regenerative practices under commercial conditions.

More than a set of practices, their journey reflects the mindset shifts, motivations, and lessons that come with committing to long-term sustainability. It highlights not only the on-farm benefits but also the broader potential of regenerative agriculture in UK apple orchards, and the vital role growers play as stewards of the land.

Compiled by Blue North, this is the second in a series of case studies to be released in 2025, sharing progress, challenges, and emerging opportunities across WFL’s global supply chain. Together, these stories show how growers are responding to environmental pressures while leading the transition toward more resilient, future-fit food systems.
